The best of Walker Bay
Throughout the four days, you’ll be spoilt on our journey through untouched fynbos, into secret forests and along ancient coastlines. Feast on a menu of locally sourced cuisine. Sip on the region’s finest wines at the end of each day. And enjoy four night’s luxury accommodation at Bellavista Country Place. Let our experienced Diversity Trail team take care of your every need.
This is after all where Adventure meets Luxury.
Hike through the incredible colours and patterns of the Cape Floral Kingdom – including flowers you’ll only see here, and nowhere else on Earth.
Let the ageless forests of the Walker Bay revitalise you – from some of the southernmost Afromontane forests, to the 1000-year old milkwood forests.
Connect with early humankind – as we head to one of the earliest known human dwellings of the Middle Stone Age and Late Stone Age people.
Enjoy all the natural wonders of Walker Bay – including the whales and dolphins as they play in these safe waters during the whale-watching season.
Wander through a botanical art collection that simply takes the breath away – the first florilegium of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.
Taste elegant wines crafted by Mother Earth in the Walker Bay region at Lomond Wines – truly a result of the alchemy of nature.

The Diversity Trail traverses the Walker Bay Fynbos Conservancy – a region of international conservation significance. This conservancy lies in the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom – one of the world’s six floral kingdoms. Here you’ll find an incredible diversity of plants and animals.
In order to protect this, members of the conservancy joined hands. As a result, a number of conservation and restoration projects are now underway here.
